HOW TO COOK PASTA
1. Fill a large saucepan of water. The more water the better.
2. Add a sprinkle of salt
3. Bring the water to strong boil
4. Measure pasta you need (pasta generally doubles in size when cooked)
5. Add the pasta, stirring all the time. Water should ideally stay boiling
6. Keep stirring-especially for the first minute or so
7. Time the cooking, check the pack for cooking time.
8. Taste the pasta to check when cooked, it should be 'al dente' (a little firm).
9. Drain in a colander, shake off excess water.
10. Dont rinse, this will remove starch that helps hold the sauce. If making a pasta salad, rinse so the pasta is not sticky

Tips: 1. Watch cooking, easy to overcook!
2. Never mix pasta types
3. Cover the saucepan-quicker to bring to boil, saves energy

Serve with Delicious Hot Ballymaloe Pasta Sauce, and top with grated cheddar cheese or parmesan.
Enjoy!
